The bigger the trade show, the greater the challenge event organizers and executives have in providing an enriching, one-of-a kind experience that is meaningful to both attendees and exhibitors.

Driving attendance and empowering attendees once onsite to plan, personalize and make the most of their time builds a positive event brand image, satisfaction, and increases the likelihood of repeat attendance.

One way in which forward-thinking organizers and trade show marketers are achieving these goals is through digital technologies that enhance attendee experience.

More specifically, trade show organizers are taking advantage of one of the most ubiquitous tools available to their audiences (mobile) in order to transform the visitor experience.

One powerful example is High Point Market. More than 100 years old, it’s the world’s largest furniture trade show. Spread over more than 11.5 million square feet of indoor and outdoor show space, High Point Market attracts upwards of 75,000 visitors twice per year.

Trade show attendees have faced significant challenges of managing their limited time, finding their preferred exhibitors and navigating the maze of trade show buildings and floor plans. Until now.

Working with navigation and location-based technology provider indoo.rs, Skookum designed and developed a mobile event planning and navigation solution to easily find and navigate the show's outdoor space plus its largest indoor show space. Read the case study.

More recently, and based on its initial success, the team added indoor navigation for five additional buildings totaling more than 400,000 square feet with the the updated ability to navigate outdoor to indoor, to back outdoor, providing unlimited navigation ease and flexibility to show attendees.
