If for nothing else, 2017 will be remembered as the year that the news media went all-in on reporting stories about the retail apocalypse, self-driving cars, and drone delivery services – technologies that are being used to “hack” cities and transform urban planning.

These advancements have the potential to change the way cities are designed, developed, analyzed, and used. They also present complex challenges. How will technology continue to change how consumers shop? How will legislation, street design, and insurance be handled for autonomous vehicles? How will artificial intelligence help reduce regulatory friction and improve analysis for urban planners?

Watch this Tech Talk with Douglas A. Welton, Chief Product Officer at einstein’s legacy, to learn more about these new technologies and how they will change the built environment and urban design. (If you’re in the Charlotte area, check out our schedule of upcoming talks to see one in person. )
